Bij archeologische opgravingen worden regelmatig dakpannen of tegels met een pootafdruk van een dier gevonden. Vaak is het een hondenpoot. Ook in Matilo is zo'n dakpanfragment gevonden. Wat betekenen die pootafdrukken op bouwkeramiek? Zijn ze daar toevallig op beland? Of zit er misschien meer achter? Archeoloog Julia Chorus vertelt er alles over tijdens deze boeiende lezing.

Cave Canem - Watch out for the dog!
Stichting Mooi Matilo is organising the lecture "Cave Canem, watch out for the dog!"
During archaeological excavations, roof tiles or tiles with a paw print of an animal are regularly found. Often it is a dog's paw. Such a roof tile fragment was also found in Matilo. What do those paw prints on building ceramics mean? Did they end up there by chance? Or is there perhaps more to it? Archaeologist Julia Chorus will tell you all about it during this fascinating lecture.
