13.12.2024 : Van 1883 tot 1938 zat het Stedelijk Gymnasium aan de Douzastraat. Aan de Fruinlaan in onze wijk werd in 1937 begonnen met nieuwbouw. English follows the Dutch text
Op 8 januari 1938 werd het nieuwe gebouw in gebruik genomen. Unieke opnamen over de bouw en de officiële opening, helaas in matige kwaliteit.

Construction of the Stedelijk Gymnasium 1937-1938
From 1883 to 1938, the Stedelijk Gymnasium was located on the Douzastraat. In 1937, new construction was started on the Fruinlaan in our neighborhood. The new building was put into use on January 8, 1938. Unique recordings of the construction and the official opening, unfortunately in poor quality.
