Woonproject SAAM (Lorentzhof fase II): Stand van zaken / Latest status
02.07.2024 : De voorbereidingen voor de aan de Lammenschansweg tussen de Zoeterwoudsesingel en de Lorentzkade te realiseren “Woningen voor ouderen uit de wijk in de wijk” lopen nog steeds op schema. Naast de 60 seniorenwoningen (36 koopwoningen en 24 sociale huurwoningen) omvat dit project ook 10 eengezinswoningen. De projectnaam bij de gemeente was Lorentzhof fase II, maar is inmiddels door VORM, de projectontwikkelaar, vervangen door de naam SAAM.English follows Dutch text
Het aantal inschrijvingen bij VORM voor de koopappartementen was zeer groot en overschreed ruimschoots het aantal beschikbare koopappartementen. Deze 36 werden middels een gewogen loterij aan inschrijvers toegewezen. Helaas moesten vele andere geïnteresseerden teleurgesteld worden. Zij krijgen bericht wanneer er om de een of andere reden toch een appartement vrijvalt.
De omgevingsvergunning is inmiddels door de gemeente afgegeven en ligt ter inzage. Als alles volgens schema blijft verlopen, worden eind van dit jaar de tijdelijke bewoners elders gehuisvest en begin volgend jaar het schoolgebouw en de gymzaal gesloopt. In maart kan dan de bouw beginnen. Deze zal zo’n 18 à 24 maanden in beslag nemen.

State of affairs residential project SAAM (Lorentzhof phase II)
The preparations for the “Housing for the elderly from the neighborhood in the neighborhood” to be realized on the Lammenschansweg between the Zoeterwoudsesingel and the Lorentzkade are still on schedule. In addition to the 60 senior homes (36 owner-occupied homes and 24 social rental homes), this project also includes 10 single-family homes. The project name at the municipality was Lorentzhof phase II, but has now been replaced by the name SAAM by VORM, the project developer.
The number of registrations at VORM for the owner-occupied apartments was very large and far exceeded the number of available apartments for sale. These 36 were allocated to registrants through a weighted lottery. Unfortunately, many other interested parties had to be disappointed. They will be notified when an apartment becomes available for one reason or another.
The environmental permit has now been issued by the municipality and is available for inspection. If everything continues to go according to schedule, the temporary residents will be housed elsewhere at the end of this year and the school building and gymnasium will be demolished early next year. Construction can then start in March. This will take about 18 to 24 months.
